As mothers, we truly hope to inspire our children beyond our home. I hope “The Diaries Of A Shepherdess” will inspire you as a mother and a homemaker to realize perfection isn’t the goal. Your role as a mother, is going to help shape generations to come. If we only knew and really took this to heart, we would realize how truly invaluable we are to our children. Our children don’t need perfect, they need grace, they need guidance, they need steady love. I hope and pray you are inspired in your mothering journey just by being here.
Teens
I have a big soft spot in my heart for the teen years. As I have been raising my own I have come to realize that teens are some of the most fun, most creative and forgiving of humans. These young adults are dealing with not only hormonal changes, but are dealing with learning to make decisions that impact their future. I truly believe that you cannot inspire your teen by stripping them of their dignity. Here we discuss all things teens. Some of the things I share, I have even gotten from my teens to share with you, so that you can also have a perspective from a teen. We hope this inspires you as you learn to connect and support your teen as they grow into adulthood.

31 Questions Your Teen Needs You To Ask
This is a list of questions I ask our children at different times. They are great conversation starters and you will find you learn a lot and where a simple question could lead.
Family
We as parents have an opportunity to leave an imprint on our children’s hearts in a way no one else can. We get to cultivate a home of beauty and peace, a haven of rest from the outside world. Happy homes don’t just come about without hard work on all sides and intentionality. I think sometimes in motherhood, it is easy to confuse hard with “bad”, and this can make or break the way we deal with things. Read more here… Just remember, all strong families put in the work, they went through lows that you never saw, they have gone through highs that you may have been witness to. That being said, we set the tone in our homes, we create the traditions, we set the culture. To live joyfully is a choice. So not to be cliche but, don’t ever compare your chapter one to someone else’s chapter 15. We only have one life to offer! Dive in with us as we look at ways to better transform our families through love, grace, and intentionality.
Children
Children are the most beautiful creatures and setting a firm foundations is key in raising confident teens who will one day be adults. Faults and all, our children love deeply and they don’t need a perfect parent, they need a present consistent parent that doesn’t see them as a burden. So grab a cup of coffee or tea and stay awhile, while we discuss the true beauty of parenting and how to work through the ups and downs. And remember, you are the best mom for your child, don’t ever doubt that.
